Often times when I cook supper for my family, I think, "I really want to show people what I am doing". I don't have some master cookie recipe to 'wow' the world with, I have very practical meals for busy people who want to eat something delicious. I myself am a full time mom, a student, and a soon to be wife. Between school, my kids, Jason (my fiancee), my housework, and trying to fit fun in, I am a very busy woman, so blogging seems to fit into my world.
Let me tell you a bit about myself first (the boring parts that NO ONE reads):
My name is Jessica Anne and my passion is cooking. I am in my twenties and live in Colorado with my son, Roman, and my fiancee, Jason. I am from Oklahoma where it is humid, hot, and people seem to move at a much slower pace. I am currently attending Pikes Peak Community College and working on my BA in business. After I am finished with my educational goals, I do plan on attending a cooking school to refine my skills. I have been diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder, which I can now embrace. I do have my ups and downs but I am still the same crazy person on the inside 24/7.
There...now, about the food:
I try to avoid using a lot of salt, sugar, grease or fat when I cook. I also cannot afford to go to specialty shops to afford a slice of meat. I am about finding the cheapest way to cook a dish without jeopardizing the quality or taste of the dish. I cook just about everything because I can't name a specific type of food I do not enjoy. I own a few cookbooks but recipes don't seem to do me much good. I like to flip through the pages, find something I want to cook, and then add my own touch to it, like a lot of cooks do. My goal is to post my journey through different recipes and just share with you, what goes on in my world of food. As I said, cooking is my passion, which is the truest thing I can ever say. Food inspires me so much and can change a bad day into a delicious day.
I really hope you enjoy cooking, foods, and a bit of everyday through my eyes, a very unleavened chef.
