I live in an apartment and spend about 400-500 dollars a month on groceries for three people. Of course this includes house stuff also and not just food. I am not some mega money maker who can afford Paula Deen cookware or Rachel Ray utensils.
I wanted to give you a basic insight in to what MY kitchen looks like. There is nothing fancy in it so my kitchen probably looks a lot like yours.
This is right above my stove. My dollar store oven glove and potholders. I am a serious lover of all things antique and ocean like. I have a mermaid tattooed on my right forearm also so I think I am just a sailor from a past life.
Above my sink. Jason bought this for me before we started dating. See my two different types of dish soap? I am not too good at letting one things run out before I open another :)
My cluttered fridge.
My homemade magnet. It is from a Kraken rum bottle. Another love of mine....rum.
Above my sink and cabinets.
Where I do all of my cutting board work. This doubles as my dirty dishes catch all. So, my Keurig is probably my most 'expensive' thing in my kitchen. I paid $50 bucks for it on Ebay. We stay stocked on dark dark coffee and lots of creamer. No sugar in my house though, just honey, stevia, and agave nectar.
My work space. Nothing special here. I have an old stove that I really hate. My eyelets don't stay in place and I'm just not a fan of electric coil stoves. All my utensils are either second hand or dollar tree and they work just as well as an expensive one. No fancy microwave, just one that holds all those multivitamins that never get taken.
Again, I just wanted to show you that there is nothing special about my kitchen. I am fortunate to have a semi spacey kitchen area. No fancy cookware or utensils and my kitchen is far from being well light, decorated, or sparkly.
