Turkey Avocado Club Sandwich

This is a super simple recipe, one that I almost feel silly for putting in BUT I know that a lot of people don't know how to dress up a sandwich.

Makes 1 delicious sandwich:

  1. About 5-8 slices of turkey, depending on how meaty you want your sandwich to be
  2. 1/2 avocado, sliced thin
  3. 2 slices of tomato
  4. Red onion sliced very thin
  5. Whole wheat bread or roll
  6. Lettuce
  7. Mayo
  8. Mustard
  9. Salt
  10. Pepper
This recipe is pretty self explanatory.  You can also add:
  1. Banana peppers
  2. Sprouts
  3. Olives
  4. Cucumbers
  5. Cheese
  6. Bacon
  7. Ranch Dressing
  8. Hard-boiled egg
  9. Jalapenos
  10. Meat of your choice in place of Turkey
  11. Use a wrap instead of bun

I set my oven to 350 and leave the bread in for about 5-10 minutes until reaches the level of crispness I am looking for.

While avocados are high in fat, they are delicious and very good for you. They are being studied currently for potential anti-cancer uses and are proven to lower blood cholesterol levels.

I like to use organic heirloom tomatoes. They are juicy and have such a great taste.
Believe it or not, how you stack a sandwich is very important to eating it neatly. If you stack all of you 'slippery' ingredients on top of each other, most likely, you will lose a tomato here or there. Be sure to stack your sandwich by getting a solid base at the bottom and top of your sandwich, closest to your bread.

A very simple recipe for a very sandwich. Pair it with pita chips for lunch or a low key dinner.
